As a designer who always working for best solution, quick sketch always helps me in order to get some idea. Sketch is one type of visual communication to express our idea. This is very important for each designer especially who directly involve architectural field like myself.
You may produce plenty nice and good perspective. Imagine how if your client asking you within hour an quick illustration for their projects? Quick sketch is the answer. Although looks not so real but it has good interpretation from our mind to paper.
For those who still thinking his/her sketches are bad, get start to practice from right now. Practice makes perfect. But for me, perfection is not a point to be struggle for. It is well enough when we produce a good sketches and our client satisfied if their task is been fulfill comprehensively through our design.
Don't be shy and scare to be criticized from experienced person. Their opinions helps you to produce better in the future. Learn from them how to get done with. Don't too much depends on computer graphic generated. Honestly, I'm regularly using 3D software for illustration purpose and I'm not against about the recent application. It might look nice but sometime 'emptiness' or 'nothingness' may expressing to your design.
Less is more? Back to basic? Got any statement related with? Whatever it is, hand sketches can be enjoyable and fun when we understand about it. It represents about ourselves when we are not around.
