- After more than 40 years dedicated to music arena, finally David Arumugam of Alleycats has been conferred Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) by Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah which carries title 'Datuk'.
- He well known with his songs such 'Andainya Aku Pergi Dulu', Khabar Buat Ibu and many more.
- His younger brother, late Loga Arumugam has passed away cause of lung cancer in year 2007 also best singer as well as David.
- Together with him received the award are Khatijah Ibrahim.
- Popular with song ' Doa Buat Kekasih' featuring Ramli Sarip, she has involved in her career for 30 years.
